The mean value and scatter of the coupling coefficient g between the frequency of Pc3 geomagnetic pulsations and the magnitude of the IMF were determined on the basis of measurements described in the literature as well as on the basis of additional measurements performed at the Borok observatory (50 hourly intervals in January 1973). It is shown that g has a relatively small scatter and a rather weak dependence on the IMF orientation. These findings cannot be explained by the elementary theory of Pc3 pulsations.
