Explicit expressions for a torsion-free interior solution of the Einstein-Yang equation in an ideal spin-less fluid are derived for the Robertson-Walker metric for a homogeneous and isotropic universe. Solutions of the Einstein field equation for the radiation-dominated phase of the early universe are found, and the relations between the cosmological solutions of the Einstein-Yang equations and corresponding solutions in general relativity are considered.
