The upcoming Planck launch will require calculating the recombination history of the primordial plasma to considerably higher accuracy than implemented in RECFAST, requiring the inclusion of additional pieces of the relevant atomic physics. In this talk, I will explore the effect on the recombination history of the addition of high-n (n>150) atomic hydrogen states, resolving different angular momentum substates separately.
