We present preliminary estimates of cosmological parameters from studying the clustering properties of the Luminous Red Galaxy (LRG) sample obtained from Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) spectroscopy. We project our data onto an eigenbasis created by using the Karhunen-Loeve (KL) transform. The eigenbasis is customized to our survey geometry and allows us to optimize our signal-to-noise and remove non-linear effects. We use Bayesian methods to directly estimate cosmological parameters via likelihood analysis. We compare the estimates of several parameters (power spectrum shape Gamma, normalization sigma8, redshift distortion Beta, and baryon fraction) from the LRG sample with those from the SDSS main galaxy sample. We also find that the LRG sample allows us to reasonably constrain the cosmological constant, which is not possible with either the SDSS main galaxy sample or the SDSS QSO sample. This is due to the LRG sample's fortuitous balance of depth and sampling density.
