We present measurements of the mean surface mass density around galaxies and clusters from weak lensing measurements in the SDSS. On large scales, the galaxy-galaxy lensing signal is proportional to the projected galaxy-mass correlation function wgm. We make comparisons between wgm and the galaxy-galaxy and galaxy-luminosity correlation functions. Implications for bias and Ω m are discussed. The lensing mass on smaller scales (R < 250 h-1 kpc) is studied as a function of central galaxy luminosity in each of the 5 SDSS bandpasses. A strong, nearly linear correlation is seen between mass and light for galaxies with L ≳ L*, when the light is measured in the redder bandpasses. Lensing mass measurements for galaxy clusters are also presented. Cluster masses are studied as a function of cluster luminosity and galaxy number density.
