Data obtained in Chile with the standard neutron monitor (Santiago: 6
NM-64; geomagnetic cut-off rigidity: about 11 GV) are reported for the
ground-level solar cosmic-ray event registered on September 29, 1989.
Possible studies connected with such a rare event are suggested to
understand even more solar-interplanetary-terrestrial relations.
