The structural stability of self-similar MHD solutions related to the
axisymmetric hydromagnetic dynamo is studied. The generation of a
magnetic field occurs due to disturbances coming from infinity. A
``pumping'' mechanism is found that can provide a strong concentration
of magnetic induction near young stars with bipolar jets.
