An analysis is presented of cyclic increments of F2-layer critical frequencies with respect to their values for the same month and hour in a solar-activity minimum year. A close correlation between such increments is established for midlatitudes, this correlation being described by linear regression equations for the diurnal variations of the increments, for midday values of the increments for adjacent months, and for increments measured at longitude- and latitude-spaced points of observation. The data indicate that there is a high autocorrelation of the ionization process for both the diurnal and annual courses.
