The influence of the choice of model of ionospheric irregularities on the indicatrix of the angular scattering of radio signals is investigated. Particular consideration is given to a random-cloud model of irregularities in the F-layer. Computer-simulation results are presented. It is shown that the dependence of the indicatrix orientation on frequency is fully determined by the type of variation of the inclination angle of anisotropic irregularities with height.
