The observational data on various parameters in the visible region are collected and displayed in one figure. Based on these data, the authors show that BU Tau exhibits long-term variations of different parameters. The variations of various parameters are well correlated with one another during the various phases of the star. The authors predict that the new shell phase of BU Tau which began in 1972 will terminate before 1989, and the star will enter into a new phase thereafter.
