A new type of coordinate to describe the mass outflow out of coronal holes is proposed which assumes symmetry under the icosahedral group I3. The present method takes into account the interaction between neighboring holes or flux tubes. It is demonstrated that the symmetry properties of Coxeter (1948) groups can effectively model symmetrical outflows. The transformation equations between the different coordinate systems are derived.
