The paper considers problems related to the measurement of meteoroid flux densities by spacecraft which are distant from the earth. A factor is derived by which one must multiply a flux density measured near the earth in order to determine the flux density in a heliocentric coordinate system at a distance where the earth's effect is negligible. The analysis leads to the conclusion that an isotropic distribution of meteoroids at a given distance is preserved at another distance from an attracting center.
