Scientific paper

A model of gravitational differentiation in a layer of two-component
viscous liquid with given horizontal concentration gradient at the top
surface is studied. Analytic solutions are obtained for the velocity
distribution of the convection motion in the layer and the distribution
of the heavy component concentration in a weak convection approximation.
