Alievskii (1976) has derived expressions for the conductivity of ionospheric plasma, which correspond to the first approximation of the Chapman-Enskog method in kinetic theory. In the present paper, an attempt is made to improve the accuracy of these expressions in the higher-approximations of kinetic theory, with allowance for two types of positive ions and their mutual diffusion.
