The contribution of clusters of galaxies to the diffuse cosmic X-Ray Background (XRB), as recently measured by Rosat deep pointings was investigated. The cluster population was modeled according to the local luminosity and temperature distributions, and cluster evolution assuming preheating of the intergalactic medium. The simulations suggest that the fraction of the XRB due to clusters should not exceed a few percent.
