Efficiency of the earlier elaborated generalized Chebyshev economization (GCE) procedure has been investigated numerically. Numerical tests were carried out with respect to the potential expansions of the homogeneous oblate and prolate ellipsoids of rotation, cone, cylinder and hemisphere, as well as the zonal parts of current high degree geopotential models.
