Night variations in the intensity of the continuum from 8000 to 11,000 A, as recorded from sites in the Crimea and in Zvenigorod, USSR, indicate values on the order of 1-2 R/A, which do not exhibit a strong dependence on increasing wavelength. A grating spectrometer with a 9 deg field of vision, and a linear dispersion of 12 A/mm, was used for the observations.
