Knowledge of the overall energy distribution of O-type stars will allow us to determine how well the dereddened continua match the current model atmospheres, and will provide important information on local ,ariations of the interstellar extinction law. These observations will be combined with absolute spectrophotometry in the optical region that has already been obtained with the Intensified Reticon Scanner (IRS) at Kitt Peak National Observatory, thus we will have a wavelength coverage from 1200 A to 8200 A. Garmany et al (1994) have found very large variations of the interstellar extinction law by looking at the continuum distribution (from 1200 A to 7000 A) of Wolf-Rayet (W-R) stars. This peculiar extinction can be circumstellar in origin or it can be characteristic of the interstellar medium By looking at 0-type stars Jr. the same association as the WR observed by Garmany et al we will be able to resolve this issue.
