Vega 1 and 2 gamma-ray spectroscopy data on the content of natural radioactive elements in Venus rocks are examined. Data are presented on the content of uranium, thorium, and potassium in near-surface rocks at the Vega 1 and 2 landing sites. It is hypothesized that the rocks containing these elements probably correspond to terrestrial gabbroids and tholeiitic basalts.
