It is shown which values of the parameters of the distances between the lenses are not permissible when finding a thin lens solution for a four-lens anamorphotic telescope corrected for the two aberrations of astigmatism and distortion resulting from the anamorphotic effect. The usable values are given. It is also proved that the combination of the first two lenses has a negative power when the angular magnification in the first principal section is less than unity and not near it.
