The spectra of convex unresolved 3 CR Radio Sources are considered with the aim of studying their steepenings (or breaks), perhaps the most important signature of the radiation mechanism. It is found that, although an average steepening of about 0.5 is consistent with the data, a better fit is obtained with a bimodal distribution, with the first steepening about equal to 0.35 and the second about equal to 0.70. Some implications are discussed in connection with this result, and a check made with 99 Parkes Radio Sources seems to support it.
