We acquired spectroscopic observations of 106 bright B-type targets using a 42-inch John S. Hall Telescope at Lowell Observatory equipped with a Solar Stellar Spectrograph. The observations were acquired between 2004 and 2008 and covered the spectral region near the Hα emission line. Using the equivalent width measure of the emission line and its variability over the time period covered by the observations we have classified the targets in subgroups on the basis of the degree of the detected variability. In addition we have also established a custom variability index that can be used to differentiate the various targets based on their Hα emission variability. This, in turn, is useful in target selection, either for the purposes of stability or variability and for determining the connection between disk formation mechanisms and disk activity detected in Be stars.
