We have proposed a new traffic flow simulation model, Coupled Map traffic flow model based on Optimal Velocity functions (CMOV model). By introducing stochastic lane-changing rules, the model is improved to treat two lane roads with entranceways. Some characteristics in multi-lane expressways, such as the lane-usage ratio and the flow correlation between lanes, are observed by simulations and compared with observations in Tomei expressway. .
