We request 28 hr this term with the 20-cm multibeam receiver and BPSR backend to conduct confirmation and timing observations of new pulsar candidates recently discovered in the Magellanic Clouds. Processing of data from a new high-resolution pulsar survey of the Clouds and a re-analysis of archival survey data have yielded one confirmed pulsar to date (PSR J0535-66) and five candidates to be confirmed. We expect to have an additional five candidates on top of this to confirm by the time observations are scheduled. Timing of PSR J0535-66 is required to determine the physical and dynamical properties of the system, while confirmation observations of pulsar candidates are needed to determine if they are real (and thus worth timing).
