The present volume contains extended abstracts of conference contributions dealing with computational aspects of plasma physics and astrophysics. The general subjects encompass stellar evolution and pulsars, particle simulation in plasmas and stellar systems, MHD equilibrium and stability, nonlinear MHD behavior of plasmas, transport in laboratory plasmas, and transport in stars. Specific topics include the hydrodynamics of the helium flash, gravitational collapse of a symmetric matter-antimatter gas sphere, relativistic collapse towards the black-hole state, numerical simulation of anomalous transport due to drift wave instabilities, numerical simulation of neutral-beam injection into a Tokamak, high-beta equilibria in beam-heated Tokamak plasmas, and a numerical study of anisotropic MHD turbulence. Other articles discuss inverse iteration in MHD equilibrium computations, a calculation of neutral-beam heating of Tokamaks, turbulent transport in reversed field pinches, numerical models of astrophysical convection, two-dimensional modeling of Tokamaks, collisional damping of Bernstein echoes, and numerical studies of particle confinement in high-beta equilibrium mirror plasmas.
