Mass spectrometers aboard the Venera 11 and 12 descent craft were
designed to measure the chemical composition of the Venusian atmosphere.
This paper presents preliminary results on the isotopic composition of
both principal components (CO2, O2, and N2) and rare gases in the lower
atmosphere.
