Photomaps of the Venus surface with a scale of 1:5,000,000 were
constructed on the basis of Venera 15 and 16 radar data using a
technique in which the planetary surface was divided into 27 trapezoids.
The mapping procedure is described in detail, and map fragments are
presented.
