A comparison between 350 days of ATS 6 satellite data and ground-based Nagycenk data (L of about 1.9) on pulsation occurrence, activity, period and switches is presented. The ATS harmonic structures is found to exert little influence on the ground activity. It is shown that the pulsation activity at geostationary orbit is in changing correlation to the low latitude ground pulsation activity, and that the inner magnetospheric amplification is influenced by solar wind velocity. Data on the presence of switches suggest that the two pulsation activities are mostly of different origin.
