Energy-dispersed plasma injection signatures are prevalent in Saturn's inner magnetosphere (~ 4 - 12 RS). We have initiated a comparative study of these signatures in the low-energy (< 25 keV) and high- energy (> 25 keV) plasma regimes measured by the Cassini CAPS and MIMI instruments, respectively. Previous work with the MIMI data set has focused on large-scale events that typically span several planetary radii and last several hours. The CAPS data set includes more numerous events extending to much smaller scale sizes and occurring at a rate of several per hour. Signatures in both datasets have been interpreted as localized injection structures that become dispersed in energy through gradient and curvature drift. What is yet to be ascertained is how the observations in the two sensors compare. Is there a continuum of scale sizes or are the different observations the result of different injection mechanisms? In this presentation we will examine qualitatively how the observations made with the two sensors compare, and discuss the implications of the observations.
