The Sun has been observed in the spectral lines Hα (6563 Å)
and Ca II K (3934 Å) at the Observatory Úpice since 1997.
In this contribution we address the visibility of chromospheric
explosion events in both spectral lines and the interpretation of the
results obtained from our observations.
