Stellar Systems: Oscillations, Stellar Systems: Instabilities
Scientific paper
A comparison of the coming instability of an ellipsoidal stellar system due to oscillations making the triaxiality or separation of the ring has been carried out. It is shown that the separation of the ring from the spheroid occurs at the eccentricity eR ≍ 0.993 (c/a ≍ 0.12) but the triaxiality comes at eT ≍ 0.866 (c/a ≍ 0.5).
