Gravitational Collapse

Scientific paper

The author considers the evolution of a self-interacting cloud of particles in the presence of a fixed potential field. He discusses the free energy and the entropy inequalities for two constructed models. He also discusses the stationary solutions (rest states) of these models and formulates them via variational principles. He utilizes these variational principles in connection with gravitational collapse.
