A compact solar camera built as a one semester student project is described. The overall length of the camera is 112 cm, and the effective focal length is 70 to 600 cm. The adjustable focal length means that an image of the sum with a diameter of 0.7 to 6.0 cm can be formed for viewing or recording. Lenses used in this camera were ''borrowed'' from a microscope and a photographic enlarger, and as such, there was no expenditure for constructing the camera.
