The Lyon-Fedder-Mobbary (LFM) MHD code has been successfully used to model the coupled solar wind - magnetosphere - ionosphere system under a variety of conditions. In recent years there has been an increasing demand from members of the space physics community for access to results of simulations for both idealized cases and event studies. Since visualization and analysis of the simulation results required significant knowledge of the code's internal data structures and use of commercial software packages its was difficult to fulfill all of these requests. OpenDX is an open source data visualization package based upon IBM's Data Explorer visualization software. This package allows us to provide community access to LFM simulation results through either web based front end or via a series of module extensions to the OpenDX package which can be installed on the remote user's own machine. Since the software is open source, it is freely available on wide range of platforms ranging from SGIs to Intel machines running either Linux or WinNT. The OpenDX software package includes a set of tools for turning OpenDX visual program into a Java based web page which allows the user simple control over the parameters plotted and viewing angle. This presentation will showcase our web visualization page at http://kansas.dartmouth.edu/java/user/BasicLFMWeb.html. In addition, we will demonstrate the capabilities of OpenDX for magnetospheric visualizations and provide information on obtaining the LFM module extensions.
