Use of the pointing angle from the Soviet spacecraft Vega-1 and Vega-2
to the nucleus of the comet, derived from attitude and camera data
collected onboard the two spacecraft, to determine comet orbit for
Halley flyby by Giotto is described. Pathfinder results after Vega-1 and
Vega-2 encounters are discussed.
