The Astrophysics Data System (ADS) provides access to the astronomy, physics/geophysics, and instrumentation literature through the World Wide Web. It is a NASA funded project and access to all the ADS services is free to everybody world-wide. The ADS Abstract Service allows searching of four databases with abstracts in Astronomy, Instrumentation, Physics/Geophysics, and the LANL Preprints with a total of over 3 million references in the databases. The system also provides access to reference and citation information, links to on-line data and other on-line information, and to on-line electronic journals. Through searches for plasma physics topics, we will demonstrate how the ADS allows a user to quickly find information about astronomy, physics and instrumentation aspects of topics relevant to plasma physics and other space research related topics. We will show how to identify articles in the literature that are currently hot topics, that are the most important in a field, and that are the most instructive in a field.
