We find equilibrium configurations for stellar objects made from both bosons and fermions (which we take as an illustration to be neutrons). These generalise the concepts of both neutron stars and boson stars, which have received much attention lately. For the bosons and fermions to contribute equally to the equations of structure, the bosons must have a very light mass of order 10-16 MeV. We catalogue the possible equilibria in this case and discuss the binding energy and stability of these configurations. For larger boson masses (for example those expected for the axion), the configurations are generically either dominated by fermions with a mass characteristic of a neutron star or dominated by bosons with a mass several orders of magnitude lighter. The transition between these types of behaviour is sudden.
