The Stark-broadened width of the H-alpha transition of neutral hydrogen, n(e) = (1-100) x 10 to the 15th/cu cm, and singly ionized helium, n(e) = (1-10) x 10 to the 17th/cu cm, at several plasma temperatures. The calculations include dynamical contributions of perturbing ions, which dominated the widths of this important transition, particularly at lower electron densities. The present results for neutral hydrogen are compared with experimental results over a span of two decades in n(e), and excellent agreement is obtained.
