The problem of cooling of neutron stars is solved with inclusion of the collective effects in a dense nucleonic medium. The resulting neutrino emissivity exceeds that found previously. The neutrino opacity of the neutron stars is calculated. From the obtained results it is possible to explain the Einstein Observatory data assuming the presence of neutron stars in supernovae remnants.
