The qubit, i.e. the fundamental unit of information in the quantum
theory of information (QIT), can be expressed through the coherent
states (CSs). Consequently, a message, i.e. a sequence of qubits, is a
tensor product of CSs. For ensembles of qubits, it must use the density
operator (DO), which can be written also in the CSs representation.
