Recent evaluations of the total influx of cosmic dust into the earth's atmosphere and of the mean dust particle density delay are analyzed. The model height profile of the atmospheric turbidity approximates to the observed profile at a mass of about 1000 t/day and delta = 1 g/cu cm. The known light scattering layer at a height of 50 km is formed by optimization of the mean aerosol size for light scattering at this height.
