Scientific paper

Hill's lunar problem has been revieved by the fact that it describes the close encounters of coorbital satellites in a rotating frame of reference (besides approximating the motion of the moon). The complete description of coorbital motion requires matching of asymptotic expansions in the framework of singular perturbation theory. In this paper the authors derive 3 (partially new) series solutions of Hill's lunar problem that pass through infinity. Two of them approximate the motion globally for large or small energies, respectively, whereas the third one is an expansion valid for large values of time.
