Scientific paper

Solar wind is conventionally classified into the following three categories: streams from solar flares, streams from M-regions, and the quiet solar wind. Even though such parameters as velocity and temperature are considered in this classification, it is essentially a classification with respect to sources of solar wind. In the present paper, it is proposed to use a classification criterion in the form of the configuration of the lines of force of the stream's magnetic field.
