Quantitative differences between Hubble Space Telescope (HST) and Clementine images of similar portions of the Moon have been known for years (e.g. Storrs et al. 1999). We investigate a straightforward deconvolution process to minimize the effects of light scattered by the optics in Clementine's imager. We present a comparison between magnitude/color plots from HST and from Clementine data of the Apollo 17 landing site, under similar observational circumstances. We believe this scattered light effect can explain the discrepancy between the two data sets reported by Robinson et al. (2007).
