The new, almost completed VLBI survey for 293 AGN ``CJ-F'', yields a previously unprecedented basis for a statistical analysis of jets in AGN. CJ-F, defined by Taylor et al. (2), is a complete flux-limited sample of 293 flat-spectrum radio sources, drawn from the 6 cm and 20 cm Green Bank Surveys (1; 3) with selection criteria as follows: S(6 cm)>= 350 mJy, α20 6}{>= }{-0.5}, δ (1950)>= 35o, and {|bII|}{>= }10o. The redshifts of the at present identified quasars range from z=0.263 to z=3.886, with 10 or more quasars per redshift interval of 0.2 in the range z=0.6-2.6. This enables us to address cosmological questions, such as the evolution of AGN with cosmic epoch. The CJ-F is now known to contain some 25 galaxies and 20 BL Lac objects at z>0.6, and similar numbers of both galaxies and BL Lac objects at lower redshifts. A comparison of their motion statistics with those from quasars at the same redshift and luminosity is a first-order test of AGN unification models. The sample is suited to study the velocity distribution, as well as to develop population models that test for the dependence on a constant value of Lorentz factor, pattern speeds that differ from fluid speeds, jet bending, and accelerations. In this talk we plan to give an overview over the current status of the analysis based on the results for 242 AGN.
