The hypothesis is considered that the solar neutrino problem related to the discrepancy of the results of theoretical and experimental studies is solely an artefact of the chemistry of the neutrino detection technique. Five experiments are conducted to investigate the possibility that the Ar-37 nuclei, although produced in an amount corresponding to the theoretically expected number of neutrinos, are for some reason not revealed in the output pulses of the Auger counter. The significance of the experimental results is discussed.
