The concentrations of reactive Cu and organic Cu in both river and the lake waters which were 1. (1) treated with solvent extraction, and 2. (2) passed through an anion exchange resin were measured by AAS. About half of the Cu was found to be associated with organic materials, i.e. fulvic acid. These results were in good accordance with thermodynamic calculations.
