Analysis of the data from the high-sensitivity accelerometer CACTUS aboard the Castor satellite has revealed a charging electric current in the test mass which varies periodically. This charging current is calculated from tables of proton fluxes existing at the altitude of the satellite. Good agreement between measured and calculated daily charges was obtained.
