We study the acceleration of charged particles (electrons and protons) in steady Reconnecting Current Sheets and X-points in the Solar Corona. We compute the orbits of test particles in simplified magnetic and electric field topologies where a longitudinal magnetic field component is included. We study the particles' kinetic energy gain as a function of the field parameters. The kinetic energy gain of particles accelerated through a number of subsequent current sheets converges to a saturation at high energies after a small number of particles-current sheets encounters. This numerical result can be explained by an analytical theory.
