A theoretical investigation is presented of the formation of waveguide channels for VLF waves in the magnetosphere at the inner and outer boundaries of the plasmapause. The influence of slow changes of magnetic field curvature and other parameters along the channel on whistler propagation in magnetospheric channels is studied. Results are discussed in relation to the generation of VLF waves at the plasmapause.
